Employees Provident Fund Office organizes Awareness Programme at MIA

Employees Provident Fund Office (EPFO) organized an awareness progress on Provident Fund Scheme of Government for the benefit of Employers engaged in Industries. This programme was facilitated by MIDC Industries Association (MIA) at their premises in MIDC Hingna. The programme was largely attended by employers of Small Scale Industries and representative of corporate sectors like Mahindra & Mahindra, Pix Transmission, Star Circlips and many more.

EPFO team lead by its Regional Commissioner Mr. P. B. Verma, who was accompanied by Mr. R. R. Verma Assistant Commissioner, Mr. A. B. Sharan & Mr. A. K. Shrivastava Enforcement Officers and Mr. A. P. Umredkar, Data Processing Assistant. At the outset the officers from EPFO were welcomed by President Mayank Shukla and Secretary Capt. C. M. Randhir of MIA.

The programme was conducted by Mr. A. B. Sharan, and Mr. R. R. Verma Assistant Commissioner and Mr. A. K. Shrivastava another enforcement officer highlighted the silent features of the scheme. Shri Umredkar explained in detail the online registration, payment and account viewing procedure with the latest updated system. Highlighting in detail the benefits of the scheme, Regional Commissioner Shri P. B. Verma explained how the contributions of Employers and Employees are distributed under Provident Fund and Pension Scheme which benefits not only employees but also the employers in long run Employees Provident Fund Scheme is a social security for the employees but it also takes care of surviving dependents of employees after his death including the dependent parents, he further elaborated.

The programme was followed by a lively question answer session, in which the officers from EPFO satisfied the participants to their utmost satisfaction. Concluding the programme President MIA Shri Mayank Shukla, said that probably this is the first Government agency, who has come to your doorstep to guide you on the scheme, beneficial to the industrial fraternity. Shri A. B. Sharan thanked MIA for organizing the programme and Capt. C. M. Randhir proposed vote of thanks. Other prominent amongst those present in the programme were Shri D. N. Gupta Immediate Past President, Shri C. G. Shegaonkar Joint Secretary and Shri Shekhar Patwardhan Executive Committee member of MIA
