Delegation comprising of President Shri Mayank Shukla, Immediate Past President Shri D. N. Gupta & Secretary Capt. C. M. Randhir welcomed and greeted the new commissioner. The delegation was warmly received by the commissioner Shri Anupkumar and discussed at length on the development of this region and in particular Nagpur. President Shri Mayank Shukla initiating the discussion informed that although Nagpur has all the plus points which include logistic facilities, location advantage, infrastructural back up, yet its development is not at the pace at which it should be. He also said that places like Mumbai and adjoining areas like Pune & Nashik are saturated and in particular, Mumbaikars are facing health problems because of over saturation of industries, so a place like Nagpur should be encouraged to attract industrial investments. Shri Shukla further added that ‘Advantage Vidarbha’ organized last year was culminated with tall promises which failed to materialize.
Capt. C. M. Randhir lamented that Nagpur region is lacking in political will and the strong determination of political leaders is very much essential if Nagpur is to be industrially developed. He further said that industries consuming power as the main resource should be lured to Vidarbha by offering differential power tariff since Vidarbha generates a high percentage of power generated in the state.
Immediate Past President Shri D. N. Gupta opined that agro based industries like oranges and cotton and mineral based industries should be attracted to this region as Nagpur is rich in minerals like Manganese and Coal. He also said that Nagpur should be developed into a tourism hub on account of its greenery and wildlife treasures.

The delegation also invited the Divisional Commissioner to visit MIA Hingna, as it is the only association of this region which provides infrastructural facilities like Test Lab facility, Guest Room facilities and Business Conference Hall to the industrial fraternity in this area.
