An elaborate power point presentation on recent Package Scheme of Incentive (PSI2013) was made by General Manager DIC Shri Ashok Dharmaclhikari at MIDC Industries Association (MIA) Hingna. The scheme which is very recently announced by Government of Maharashtra, has a lot of things to offer, Vidarbha Region and in particular MSME sector.
The high light of the scheme for Vidarbha is fund allocation to set up Exhibition Cum Convention Centre at Nagpur, proposal for industrial galas in MIDC area and 10% plot reservation for MSME sector, Shri Dharmadhikari said.
Further the incentives for D+zone (Nagpur Taluka) and D zone (Nagpur City) is raised to 80% and 70% respectively in place of 50% in the earlier scheme of 2007. This incentive is 75% of total Fixed Capital investment in case of expansion made to the tune of minimum 25 Lacs and 100% for the new proposed units he further said.
This incentive can be availed from Incentive basket comprising of Industrial Promotion Subsidy (IPS) or VAT refund, Interest Subsidy on Capital investment finance and subsidy of power tariff by Rupee one for three years. There are further concessions for No Industrial zone (NID) like Gadchiroli & Naxal affected talukas. He further elaborated, benefits to new units is Electricity Duty Exemptions and Stamp Duty Exemption which are not included in incentive basket for consideration in percentage of Fixed Capital Investment incentives.
Mr. Dharmadhikari also replied to number queries raised by the participants. The huge response to this interactive meet is self explanatory to the enthusiasm of industrial unit holders in setting up new units or expanding or diversifications their existing set up.
